Privacy Policy

Dear Almost Adult ("we," "us") is a small, family-run letter subscription for tweens and teens. We only collect the information we need to mail letters and to keep you in the loop about your subscription. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• About the recipient: first name, age, pronouns (optional), interests, personality, hobbies, current struggles, communication-style preference, and any life challenges you choose to share. This shapes the letters.
• Mailing address: name on envelope, street, city, state, ZIP, and country — so we can physically send letters.
• Subscriber email and optional phone: for order confirmation and account communication.
• Payment info: processed entirely by Payhip. We never see or store your card details. See Payhip's privacy policy.
• Basic technical data: IP address and browser info, used only for spam/bot protection (via Cloudflare Turnstile).

How we use it

• To address and mail The Drop to the recipient.
• To send order confirmations and occasional service emails (no marketing spam).
• To prevent abuse of our forms.

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to train AI models outside of generating your own letters.

Who we share with

Only the service providers we need to run the subscription: Payhip (payments), Resend (transactional email), and Google Sheets / Google Drive (our internal records). Each only receives the minimum data needed to do their job.

How long we keep it

We keep subscription details for as long as your subscription is active, and for a reasonable period after cancellation for accounting and customer-service purposes. You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time.

Children's privacy

Letters are written for tweens and teens, but the subscription is set up and managed by an adult subscriber. The information collected here is provided by the adult account holder, not the child. We do not knowingly collect data directly from children under 13.

Your rights

You can request a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we'll take care of it.
